    DEPOSIT INSTRUCTIONS

    We know that renting in British Columbia can be challenging, and you may need to apply to many different places in order to ensure that you have housing.
    If you would like, you have the option to provide an application deposit (half of the monthly rental rate) to show us that our building is your top choice. The application deposit should be exactly half of one month's rent and will be applied to your security deposit immediately upon acceptance.
    Not to worry: we know that rental scams are unfortunately becoming common in Vancouver, so we encourage you to provide the application deposit via e-transfer to leasing@kevingtonbuilding.com. Please set a password for the e-transfer and keep it private; we will only ask for the password if and when you are confirmed as the next renter of the suite. If you are not accepted for any reason, we will not ask for the password and will instead recommend that you cancel the transfer on your end for extra peace of mind.
    Please note that if you have pet(s), a pet deposit totalling exactly half of the monthly rental rate will be collected on your lease start date.

    WHEN TO EXPECT AN UPDATE

    Applications are processed in the order received, though applications with deposits are given priority. The time it takes to receive an update varies based on the speed at which your landlord and employment references reply.

    Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the property, including the suites and balconies.
    Quiet hours are enforced between 10:00PM - 8:00AM Sunday through Thursday and 12:00AM - 8:00AM Friday through Saturday.
    Subletting and suite assignments are not permitted.
    Leases begin as a 6-month fixed term that automatically converts to a month-to-month lease afterwards.
